***District Convention—

March 26-28; Allentown PA***

District Convention is a weekend filled with meeting members from other clubs, learning more about Circle K, and finding a closer connection with the values that Circle K is built upon. If you are interested in a fun weekend spent with others who share your passions and/or are interested in becoming an officer in the future, I highly recommend keeping this weekend free in your planner! We will have more information in the next few weeks, but if you have any questions, contact Justin Aaron jra22@pitt.edu or any of the officers.

Relay for Life—April 9-10

This year we would like to put a team together for the Relay For Life, an event which raises money for the American Cancer Society. The Relay will be a 24 hour team "relay" from April 9-10—we will need to have at least one person from our team who is walking on the track for the entire time. If you are interested in participating, please sign up at www.relayforlife.org/paupitt. The registration fee is only $5, but will increase as we get closer to Relay, so please sign up ASAP.

A Special thanks to Sheenus Sehgal of the East Liberty Kiwanis for attending our meeting this week! We really appreciate your dedication to all branches of the Kiwanis Family!

WELCOME BACK!!!

For those who were unable to make the meeting or are looking for more information about the events, here are the minutes (this week is a little light so you can ease back into the swing of things!):

Upcoming Events:

Global Links—Thursday 1/14, meet at 4:40, should be back by 8:15

Thousands of pounds of unused medical supplies are discarded into landfills every year while millions of people are receiving inadequate healthcare because they cannot afford proper treatment. If you would like to alleviate both of these issues, join us on Thursday to help repackage extra medical supplies to send abroad! Sorting through medical supplies is interesting and fun…and you will help the quality of life of many around the world!

Social Events

In the near future, we would like to have a social event where members can just hang out and get to know each other better. I would really like your input on what type of event you would each be most interested in. At the last meeting, bowling, dinner, and ice skating were all popular choices; if you are interested in any of these or have another idea, please let me know!

Outside Hours

If you have been volunteering in any activity outside of "Circle K projects," please e-mail me (Lisa) so that I can record your hours. If you have any questions about what an outside hour is, please let me know.

T-Shirts

If you ordered a T-shirt and have not yet paid/picked it up, please contact Lauren (cost: $10 per shirt) ASAP!

If you are interested in any of these projects, please contact Courtney (cem43@pitt.edu)!

***Unless otherwise noted, all projects will meet on the 5th side of the Union***
